One of the toughest parts of being a competitive athlete is maintaining your strength and conditioning during the season. At Advantage PTS, we can help. By designing a training program for you that coincides with your own coach’s schedule we can have you at your peak for the playoffs at the end of the season instead of during tryouts when you were focused on making the team.
For every athlete, in every sport, there are two things that will keep you turning in great performances during the season. First, you have to get enough rest. Secondly, you have to remain healthy.
So, how do you do it?
At Advantage PTS, we’ll make sure you maintain your strength and conditioning through a program that involves cardio, weights and stretching. Strength training creates muscular balance to prevent injuries while gaining strength. No single exercise or workout can do more to help you during the season than the strength training we’ll provide.
The other part of the equation is rest. But when we say rest, we don’t mean sitting on a couch. As you lead up to game day, it’s very important that you stay active both on the day before the game and the day after.
Finally, your diet can play a big part in muscle growth and recovery during the season. Unless you have a high priced training table it’s very easy to get away from the foods that help the most.
